Making, equipping, and unleashing the next generation of radical disciples in Kodiak and around the world.
Rooted is built to help students connect to Christ and other believers. Every week, our aim is to enjoy and exalt Christ while encouraging one another. We do this through practical Bible teaching, discussion groups, games, and just hanging with each other. Our 6th-12th grade youth group meets on Wednesday nights from 6:15-8:00 pm. A typical youth meeting includes:

Discipleship groups are at the core of what we do as a youth ministry. D-groups are small, intimate discipleship groups of 2-3 guys or girls who meet regularly to help one another fight sin and love Christ more. Each group is led by a youth leader who shares their life with the students, encouraging them to own their faith by helping them establish healthy rhythms of personal Bible study, prayer, and biblical fellowship. Students who commit to be a part of a d-group are not only committing to go deeper in their faith, but they are also committing to take what they have learned and pour it into others (2 Timothy 2:2).

Special Friends is a youth ministry for anyone from middle school-23 years old that has developed within Berean Baptist Church to reach out to people with disabilities, meet them where they are, teach them the Bible, and welcome them into the fellowship of the church. Students have a chance to hang out, eat dinner, play games, learn a Bible lesson, and meet in a small group to discuss the lesson and pray together.
Special Friends youth group meets on Tuesday nights at the Berean gym from 6:30-8:00. For more information, email admin@kodiakberean.com. |
Momentum weekend is a 3-day, discipleship-oriented, mid-fall explosion of fun. It’s like youth camp in the middle of the fall but awesomer. Momentum happens every October and is filled with wild games, compelling teaching and Spirit-filled worship. At Momentum, students spend the weekend having fun together, worshipping Jesus, staying at host homes, playing crazy games, studying God's Word, and building one another up.

Go Week is a week-long, service-oriented youth event aimed at sharing the love of Christ with our community through service, relationships, and conversations about the Gospel. Students will not only go out and serve, but they will also be equipped to be ambassadors for Christ in their schools and community. Everything we do at Go Week, from the crazy games to the service projects to the meals, will be aimed at helping students know and live out the Great Commission in their everyday lives.
