What Is SERVE Kodiak?
SERVE Kodiak is our opportunity to put our faith into action by sharing the love of Christ throughout our community. Think of it as a mission trip without leaving the island.
On Thursday through Saturday mornings, we'll spread out across Kodiak to serve our neighbors in practical and meaningful ways. Our desire is to help every member of Berean see themselves as one of Christ's 'sent ones,' living out the Great Commission right where God has placed us.
There will be four types of ministry teams serving throughout the weekend:
Our prayer is that this will be the first of many SERVE Kodiak weekends. We believe God has placed us on this island to saturate Kodiak with the Gospel, and we want to equip our church to joyfully live on mission together for His glory.

Who Should Come?
Everyone! Whether you've been at Berean for 6 weeks, 6 months, 6 years, or 60 years, you are welcome and wanted. This weekend is for every member of our church family, from babies to boomers and beyond.
We're also excited to welcome our missionaries to Guatemala, Isaias and Ginny Colop-Xec, who will be with us throughout the weekend. Isaias will be preaching during our evening sessions, and together they will encourage us with what God is doing around the world and challenge us to join Him in His mission right here in Kodiak.
What Will We Be Teaching?
Throughout the weekend, we will journey through 1 Peter, discovering what it means to live as hope-filled exiles in a world that is not our home. Together we'll see how God's grace gives us a living hope, shapes our identity, strengthens us to stand firm in suffering, and calls us to lives of holiness that bear witness to Christ until He brings us safely home.

- Backyard Kids Clubs (Mini VBS)
- Labor Projects
- Mercy Ministry
- Prayer Ministry
